In May I went to visit my friend Eirik in Bergen, Norway. We hung out in the sun, went up to Fløyen and saw Mount Eerie.

I also went to New York with some of my friends and stayed in an apartment in Brooklyn. It rained a lot, but I liked it still.

In between Bergen and New York and after I spent a couple of weeks in London where I saw Battles, went to 93 ft east a lot and played an insane amount Wii Bowling and Rockband at night.

In September I got on a plane to South Korea where I spent a lot of time in Kwangju with my grandmother, climbed mountains and hung out with friends in Seoul. I stayed in a fancy hotel, in a not so fancy hotel, went to an indie music festival and rode buses a lot.

In October I took a little detour to Tokyo, Japan where I met up with some friends from Denmark and got to see some Japanese friends again. I went sightseeing, clubbing and shopping in Shibuya, Shinjuku and Harajuku.

End of November I flew to Changsha in Southern China, where I am writing this from. I have spent 5 days in Beijing, sick from food poisoning and will be in Shanghai for New Years eve by the time this goes live.

It has been an amazing year in many ways and I want to thank everyone who has been there for me: Thank you! It would have been terrible without you. Also, thank you for reading this and commenting!
I am looking forward to 2009. I have no idea what it will bring me! See you there.

Oh, the sights.

It was a warm and sunny day. There were no clouds. Just smog. We sat on the deck with our jackets open while it was still light.

china wardrobe

I am back in Changsha after some delay. My trip to Beijing was pretty modest. I got to see some of my friends, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. Christmas eve was spent pushing food around the plate and going to sleep really early, so not really too successful. It’s been torture not being able to eat and my mood was pretty rotten, which is such a shame.

Here is some more stuff I bought in Seoul before I left. All in a little shop called 103 (I think) in Shinsa.

I am staying at this hotel for a few days, which is nice. Also, I got two packages from Denmark, which has really helped my mood a lot. But more on them later. Hope you all had a good time over the holidays!

Here’s to them underneath that burning sun

So food poisoning kind of got in the way of the updates I had planned to make for my stay in Beijing. I am here now, after a day spent at the hospital with an IV in my hand for six hours and then rushing to the airport. So I guess my blog will be on holiday until next week!

I might be able to sneak a little update in or two, but if not, happy holidays!
