Magnolia craziness lately.
I am currently in Århus, and will be moving back to Copenhagen directly from here. So I doubt there will be more magnolia posts.

This is my aunt’s magnolia tree. You are seeing maybe 1/20. She’s not in the battle, but she’s won in my mind (except on the drive to her house we saw one three times as big as hers and it was gorgeous beyond belief and I would have gotten out of the car and stood there until the sun went down if I could have).

Why do you have to be a non-conformist like everybody else?

Okay, guys. I sense you are not much interested in K-pop. What can I say, I am a little sad! But here are some flowers around my parents’ garden to brighten your day.

My mum’s magnolia is looking a bit empty. But I like the shape of hers better than my dad’s.

His is blossoming like mad, though! So for the time being I think he wins.

It’s JYP and 2PM, baby

Monday, April 27th, 2009

The man in this photo is Park Jin Young (also known as just “JYP”) and he is responsible for a lot of k-pop. You might remember my favourite girl group, Wonder Girls, if you read my blog back when I was in South Korea.

While being a solo artist, he also founded JYP Entertainment which has produced artists such as Rain, Joo and also boy groups 2PM and 2AM.

Out of the last two I like 2PM the best, since their songs are dancy rather than ballads, and ballads are not really my thing much.

This was the first song I heard by them, and for a long time was also the only song I knew!

I just noticed a new video of them, though. I am not completely sold on it yet, but I reckon after another couple of listens I will appreciate it more.
It’s also funny how there are so many members. There are quite a few Korean groups with more than five and up to thirteen members! It must be a little hard being a Korean fangirl and having to keep track of all the names.
