Going back to my parents more often than not involves some kind of baking and on the rare occasions that I have time to sleep over, the breakfast standard is blueberry pancakes. Recently I have been looking at the piano a lot and trying to play it again (not sounding so good, though (partly because I haven’t played in years and partly because the piano itself is old and is in need of tuning)). I will never be a musician, though.

So, I leave for New York tomorrow and everything has worked out with my card and today has been sunny and I got a heap of things done so I should be just about ready. I’m excited! Hope you all have a fantastic time wherever you are and whenever you are having the time. Eh. Right!

I really appreciate nice and creative wrapping. Also the warmth in the afternoon sunlight and the softness of my dog. I don’t appreciate rain all day, complete darkness by 5PM and my card being canceled for non-existent suspicious activity, leaving me without one just five days before I leave the country. What a Monday.

Hello, blog, it’s been a busy week. Tackling hardcore autumn by losing myself in Dead Man’s Bones (BEGIN HYPE this album is friggin’ amazing and you should listen to it, because it’s so so so good and who would’ve thought it was possible for an actor to actually make music that’s worth listening to so check it out! it’s got hand claps, child choir and graveyard-type love songs sort of, what more could you want? END HYPE) and spending extra time with my family.

In honour of the fact that I will be in NYC two weeks from now, cheering on my amazing aunt running the marathon, here are some photos from my last visit. They were taken with a borrowed Nikon F70.
My visit will be short, but if you have any awesome tips please let me know!
