These are the last pictures from Antwerpen, but I really would have loved more time to walk around there. I’ve got one roll of film left from Belgium, which is from Brussels, and then we can all move on finally!
Today is Friday, which means it’s almost weekend and that’s nice and it has also not been so cold today.
St. Anna’s tunnel in Antwerpen has wooden escalators.
It’s only Tuesday and I am already wishing for the weekend. The country has been covered in snow for over two months. To say “I’m over it” is an understatement.
In Antwerpen we stayed in a red room with white furniture, cloth hanging from the ceiling and Jacques Brel photos everywhere. I had packed one Fjällräven backpack.
New Liars! I didn’t enjoy their last album so much (loved the first three), but from this and what I’ve read about the new album it could be quite interesting. Plus, this video is BEAUTIFUL while at the same time being silly and very Liars. Sisterworld is out March 8th!
I’ve had the new Ruby Suns album for a few months (thanks to work) and I fall more in love with it every time I listen to it. It’s brilliant! This one is different, more dreamy and even more electronic than Sea Lion (which was, again, different from the debut). I love seeing bands evolve like this! Fight Softly is out!
I couldn’t decide which song to pick from the new Yeasayer album, Odd Blood, so here is the second single. I know a lot of people think the album is only so good, but I’m really loving it and I can’t wait for the show in a couple of weeks!
New Charlotte Gainsbourg in collaboration with Beck. Yes, it’s quite brilliant!
The Decemberists’ contribution to Dark Was the Night. I remember the first time I heard it, I was at work and when I noticed the song I immediately wanted to just sit down and hug myself. It makes my chest burn!
Put on your dancing shoes – it’s the new Caribou single! Swim is out in April where, in the last weekend, Pop Revo is on (yup, dude is playing one of the loveliest festivals in Denmark)!
Eating good food makes me really happy. And while I don’t mind cooking every day at all, sometimes it’s just really nice to go out and relax and eat something amazing that someone else cooked!
In Antwerpen we had dinner at a little French place. I had Lamb filet with fresh thymesauce, greens and pommes noisettes, for dessert – crème brûlée! Delicious!
My name is Young. I like to travel and eat food and look at things that are nice to look at. I prefer images over words. I am currently posting from Copenhagen, Denmark, where I work in a record store.
